EMPLOYMENT TYPE:   Temporary, Seasonal
                         
HOUR(S) - ROTATION(S): 80 hours bi-weekly- Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm
COMPENSATION: $19.50 per hour
DURATION: Training starts June with the position ending  on August 23, 2025

We are excited to offer a unique summer employment opportunity perfect for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with intellectual disabilities.  This position will provide invaluable experience and a fulfilling way to spend your summer.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support, supervision and assistance to children aged 5 to 12 years with intellectual disabilities within a lively town camp setting.
  • Ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all campers.
  • Collaborate with Town camp staff and participate in training and development sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with children, particularly those with intellectual disabilities, is preferred
  • Enthusiasm for creating fun and recreational and social experiences for children.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications are an asset.
  • Must be 18+ years of age 
  • Valid police check – vulnerable sector
