Our client, a Custom Millwork and Cabinetry company specializing in residential projects is seeking a Production Manager for their busy and growing facility located in Vaughan Ontario. This is an excellent Full Time opportunity to join a growing company! 

 

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize our shop
operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the full production cycle—from
approved drawings to finished product—ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time
delivery.
You will work closely with project managers, shop staff, and installation teams to ensure
seamless execution of projects.
Responsibilities
 Plan, manage, and maintain the production schedule to meet project deadlines
 Oversee all shop operations including cutting, assembly, finishing, and packaging
 Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure all jobs are released to production
correctly
 Ensure all drawings, materials, and hardware are ready before production starts
 Monitor workflow and allocate labour efficiently across departments
 Lead, supervise, and support shop staff (cabinetmakers, machine operators,
finishers)
 Maintain high standards of quality control throughout production
 Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
 Work within and manage production using systems
 Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
 Develop and monitor KPI's

 Manage load and capacity
 Manage inventory levels and coordinate material requirements with purchasing
 Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them quickly to avoid delays
Requirements
 5+ years experience in custom millwork or cabinetry production
 5+ years in a leadership or management role
 Strong understanding of millwork processes, materials, and machinery
 Experience managing production schedules in a fast-paced environment
 Familiarity with Shoptech, ERP systems, or production software is an asset
 Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and architectural plans
 Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
 Highly organized with strong attention to detail
